We have always felt there was a need for a residential commune for the busy professionals of India's fastest growing city, Bangalore.

Families felt that the quality of life for their children was on the decrease, that although city life offers world-class education, healthcare facilities and job opportunities people were losing out in terms of a healthy and meaningful life
Inspired by Jiddu Krishnamurthi's teachings that express this concern, DEGA FARMS was conceptualized to fulfill this very gap.

The commune allows you to own a house or cottage with a large garden in a gated community situation. The Gated community concept consists of sharing a common entrance and an enclosed compound wall with all other residents.

In essence you not only share an ideal but you actually live it.

By promoting the concept of eco-friendly living we encourage people to build their houses using natural, rather than artificial building materials as much as possible. Thereafter a lifestyle using amenities from sourced eco-friendly and natural resources wherever possible.

This means use of solar energy for cooking and electrification. Organic farming methods and drip irrigation to grow organic produce within the commune for internal consumption. Drip Irrigation for owners who opt for it. Water provision for household as well as gardening is available.
